Kisner Takes Wyndham Championship in Sudden Death
Kevin Kisner won the Wyndham Championship in a six-man playoff, earning his fourth PGA Tour title and first via a playoff as he was previously 0-5.
Six players tied for the PGA Tour record for most players in a playoff (also: 1994 AT&T Byron Nelson, 2001 The Genesis Invitational). Adam Scott had a chance to win the tournament on the penultimate playoff hole but missed a 4-footer. Scott was 53 of 54 within five feet for the tournament.

Three players entered the week outside the Top 125 and moved in to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs (Roger Sloan, Scott Piercy, and Chesson Hadley) while the players who dropped-out of the Top 125 were: Ryan Armour (MC), Patrick Rodgers (MC), and Bo Hoag (MC). Only the Top 125 in the FedEx Cup points standings advance to the playoff, this weekend at The Northern Trust in New Jersey.
Justin Rose made bogey on the 18th hole and would’ve qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs with a par but, at No. 126 in the FedExCup standings, Rose will miss the playoffs for the first time in the FedExCup era (2007-present).
Russell Henley held a multiple-stroke lead after each of the first three rounds but missed the sudden death tournament playoff by one stroke after a bogey at No. 18.
