The Wyndham Championship: Notebook After 54
Russell Henley continues to hold the lead at the Wyndham Championship following third-round 1-under 69. It represents his third 54- hole lead/co-lead of the season. Henley would become the first wire-to-wire winner of the event since Brandt Snedeker in 2018 (sixth since 1941).
Projected to move into FedEx Cup Top 125 and next week’s playoff event are: Scott Piercy (T-3), Roger Sloan (T-3), Rory Sabbatini (T-3).
Projected to fall out of the Top 125: Ryan Armour (MC), Patrick Rodgers (MC), and Bo Hoag (MC).
Justin Rose, one of nine players to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs each season of the FedExCup era, is currently projected No. 126, one place out of the playoffs.
