POTOMAC, Maryland - Three-time Wells Fargo Championship winner and defending champion Rory McIlroy seeks his first successful title defense on Tour. McIlroy, a 20-time PGA TOUR winner, has played in 13 TOUR events to date as the defending champion and has finished in the Top-5 twice (4th/2016 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, T-4/2016 Wells Fargo Championship).
The Wells Fargo Championship is one of four Tour events at which McIlroy has collected multiple victories and the only one that he has won three or more times.
