Wells Fargo Championship | R-1 Preview
CHARLOTTE - A three-time winner at Quail Hollow Club (2010, 2015, 2021), including his first PGA TOUR title, Rory McIlroy will make his first start since claiming his 25th career win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with partner Shane Lowry, who is also competing this week. The last time McIlroy won in consecutive starts on TOUR was in 2022 at the TOUR Championship and THE CJ CUP in South Carolina.
Two-time Wells Fargo Championship winner Max Homa claimed the 2019 title at Quail Hollow Club for his first career PGA TOUR victory. Also of note: Homa played very well at the 2022 Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow, compiling a 4-0-0 record in his debut for the U.S. Team.
