Final Round Coverage of the 2026 Valero Texas Open | San Antonio
Suspension Summary: Due to inclement weather, the third round was suspended at 11:51am (local), with the entire field yet to complete the round (first groups off are through 14 holes; final group is through six holes). At 4:52pm (local), tournament officials announced that play would be suspended for the day and resume Sunday at 7:45am local time/ 8:45am EDT. Final-round tee times are scheduled for approximately 10:00am to 12 Noon (11am to 1:00pm EDT) off split tees and groups will not be re-paired following the third round.

Ludvig Åberg (2nd/-13) • Entered the third round four back from MacIntyre and now sits two back after recording birdies on Nos. 1, 2 and 5 • Leads the field this week in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee (3.177) and Strokes Gained: Tee to Green (9.687) • Coming off of back-to-back top-5 finishes for the first time in his career (T3/Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, T5/THE PLAYERS Championship) • Entered the week No. 13 in the FedExCup standings.

The third round of the Valero Texas Open will resume today at 8:45am (EDT) after weather suspended play for the day on Saturday in San Antonio. Tournament leader Robert MacIntyre completed just six holes before the suspension, setting up a marathon Sunday finish for one and all.

April 5, 1956 - Twenty-four year old amateur Ken Venturi opened The Masters with a first-round (66), the best opening round by an amateur to date. Venturi held the lead through the next two rounds, despite shooting a (75) in R-3.
