SAN ANTONIO - J.J. Spaun (1st/-17) - the 2025 U.S. Open champion picked up his third PGA TOUR victory in his 252nd start at the age of 35 years, 7 months, 15 days.
Spaun’s PGA TOUR wins: 2022 Valero Texas Open, 2025 U.S. Open, 2026 Valero Texas Open. He became the 11th multiple winner of the Valero Texas Open and the first since Corey Conners (2019, 2023)
Yesterday, he edged Matt Wallace, Michael Kim and Robert MacIntyre by one stroke, becoming the eighth out the last 10 TOUR events to be decided by one stroke or in a playoff (others: Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches/2 strokes, Texas Children’s Houston Open/5 strokes)
Spaun entered the final round two strokes behind MacIntyre and closed with a 5-under (67) for a one-stroke victory
In doing so, Spaun moved from No. 115 to No. 24 in the FedExCup standings and is projected to move from No. 13 to No. 6 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

April 6, 1958 - Arnold Palmer won his first of four titles at The Masters and his first-ever Major - one stroke ahead of Doug Ford and Fred Hawkins. Palmer eagled the 13th hole in the final round, but endured a three-putt on the final hole of the final round to record a (73).
