Review of the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills (Southampton)
SOUTHAMPTON, NY - Wyndham Clark (1st/-4) picked-up his fifth PGA TOUR victory in his 204th start at the age of 32 years, 6 months, 12 days. Clark’s PGA TOUR wins (5) include:

2026 U.S. Open
It’s his second season with multiple victories (2023, 2026).
Clark earned 750 FedEx Cup points and moved from No. 18 to No. 4 in the FedEx Cup season-long standings and is projected to move from No. 34 to No. 8 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Clark became the ninth wire-to-wire winner (no ties), joining Walter Hagen (1914), Jim Barnes (1921), Ben Hogan (1953), Tony Jacklin (1970), Tiger Woods (2000, 2002), Rory McIlroy (2011), Martin Kaymer (2014).
Seeking his first major championship, five-time PGA TOUR winner, Sam Burns, picked-up the sixth runner-up finish of his career. His most recent runner-up came at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open about a year ago.
World No. 1 and 20-time PGA TOUR winner Scottie Scheffler finished T4 on his 30th birthday. Scheffler was seeking to become the seventh player in history to complete the Career Grand Slam.
