PGA Tour Brunch | Recap of the 2026 Truist Championship

CHARLOTTE - Kristoffer Reitan (1st/-15), after entering the day one stroke behind 54-hole leader Alex Fitzpatrick, carded a final-round 2-under (69) for a two-stroke victory over Rickie Fowler and Nicolai Højgaard. Reitan picked up his first PGA TOUR victory in his 15th start at the age of 28 years, 2 months, 2 days.
The PGA TOUR rookie moved from No. 54 to No. 13 in the FedExCup standings.
It’s the fourth, first-time winner this season, joining Jacob Bridgeman/The Genesis Invitational, Ricky Castillo/Puerto Rico Open and Alex Fitzpatrick/Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Reitan is the second player from Norway to win on the PGA TOUR, joining seven-time winner Viktor Hovland.

(from Monday) - May 11, 1928 - Walter Hagen won a rare May staging of The Open Championship, beating Gene Saracen by two strokes at Royal St. Georges.
