Hovland Takes 2026 Travelers in a Playoff | Defeated Scheffler

CROMWELL - Norway’s Viktor Hovland made a putt from 10 feet on the first playoff hole for birdie and became the Travelers Championship winner when World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler missed on a short birdie attempt Monday morning at TPC River Highlands.
Hovland won for the eighth time on the PGA Tour and for the first time this year.
Hovland banked $3.6m and 700 FEDEx CUP points.

The round of the day was turned in by Collin Morikawa (3rd/-20) with a 9-under 61, equaling his career-low round (2023 TOUR Championship/R1). He was attempting to record the largest come-from-behind victory at the Travelers Championship (current: Brad Faxon/7/2005) and equal the second-largest on the PGA TOUR on record (10/Paul Lawrie/1999 Open Championship, 9/Stewart Cink/2004 RBC Heritage)
Matt Fitzpatrick (4th/-13) finished solo-fourth in bid to become the first player to earn four or more wins in a season since Scottie Scheffler in 2025; brother, Alex, finishes T7
Wyndham Clark finished T5 in bid to become the first player to win on TOUR the week after winning a major since Scottie Scheffler (2024 Masters Tournament, 2024 RBC Heritage)
Corey Conners (T7/-17) picked up his first top-10 finish since the 2025 TOUR Championship (T4)
Patrick Cantlay finished T14, his ninth straight top-15 finish at the Travelers Championship
New England’s favorite son and two-time champion at TPC River Highlands, Keegan Bradley, finished T14 in bid to become the first back-to-back Travelers Championship winner since Phil Mickelson in 2002
