GREENSBORO - The Wyndham Championship boasts its strongest field in the FedEx Cup era (since 2007), with 21 of the Top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking and 22 of the Top 50 in the current FedExCup standings all competing this weekend.
Aaron Rai is seeking to become the first player to successfully defend at the event since Sam Snead in 1956.
Additional field highlights:
The 21 of the Top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking are in the field, will be led by No. 7 Keegan Bradley, No. 12 Hideki Matsuyama, No. 14 Robert MacIntyre, No. 17 Ben Griffin.
There are 69 of the Top 100 in the FedExCup standings (and 22 of the Top 50), led by No. 7 Ben Griffin and No. 10 Keegan Bradley
Two past FedEx Cup champions: Brandt Snedeker (2012), Jordan Spieth (2015) will tee-it-up this weekend.
Ten past champions (11 wins): Aaron Rai (2024), Lucas Glover (2023), Tom Kim (2022), Kevin Kisner (2021), Jim Herman (2020), J.T. Poston (2019), Brandt Snedeker (2007, 2018), Si Woo Kim (2016), Camilo Villegas (2014), and Webb Simpson (2011).
There are also eight sponsor exemptions: Zac Blair, David Ford, Will Gordon, Chesson Hadley, Zach Johnson, Jackson Koivun, Thriston Lawrence, and Braden Thornberry.

Following the Wyndham Championship, the Top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings will advance to the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
