Third-round Preview of the 2023 Valspar Championship at Copperhead

PALM HARBOR - First-round co-leader Adam Schenk holds the 36-hole lead/co-lead for the second time on Tour while Kramer Hickok trails by one shot and 2022 Valspar Championship runner-up Davis Riley stands T-3.
Five players have made the Valspar Championship their first Tour win, including two-time defending champion Sam Burns.
The 2015 Valspar Championship winner Jordan Spieth seeks to become the event’s fifth multiple winner (K.J. Choi, Retief Goosen, Paul Casey, and Sam Burns)
Spieth, Cody Gribble and J.T. Poston are the only players among those at 4-under or better on the leaderboard with Tour victories.
Justin Thomas, the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking, sits T-12 at midway point.
Making his 600th start on the PGA TOUR, Rory Sabbatini (T12/-3) followed a 3-over (74) in round one with a bogey-free (65) in round two. His best finish in 15 prior starts at the Valspar Championship is T-5 (2018).
The Cut: 72 professionals and two amateurs at 1-over (143) from a field of 142 professionals and two amateurs.
