2026 Truist Championship | Final Round
CHARLOTTE - Alex Fitzpatrick (1st/-14) earned his first 54-hole lead/co-lead on TOUR in his 13th career start. Alex’s (64) marked his best 18-hole score on TOUR (previous: 66 in the second round of last week’s Cadillac Championship).
He leads the field in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green (9.843) and Strokes Gained: Approach the Green (7.571) as he’s making the third start of his rookie season: (Won/Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T9/Cadillac Championship).
Alex earned his first PGA TOUR victory two weeks ago at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (with brother and World No. 3 Matt Fitzpatrick) in his 11th start on TOUR
Cameron Young (3rd/-12) was the winner at last week’s Cadillac Championship with a six-stroke margin of victory, his second win of the season and third of his career (2025 Wyndham Championship, 2026 PLAYERS Championship).
Young is seeking to become the second player this season to win back-to-back events (Matt Fitzpatrick, RBC Heritage and Zurich Classic of New Orleans).
In Young’s last five starts on TOUR, he owns two wins and two T3 finishes.
In one of the most bizarre shots of the 2026 PGA TOUR season, 36-hole leader Sungjai Im hit a riccochet shot out of the sand, off the stands, back through the green and into the very trap where he started his swing.
