2026 PGA Championship | Final Round
NEWTOWN SQUARE - Alex Smalley holds a two-stroke lead at 6-under par heading into the final round of the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club. After a chaotic “Moving Day” when 13 different golfers held a share of the lead, the 29-year-old American rebounded from a rough 3-over start through his first four holes to card a 2-under 68, placing him in prime position to hunt for his first career professional victory. The field remains tightly packed behind him, with 22 players sitting within four shots of the lead.
Coming off his recent victory at the Masters, Rory McIlroy roared back from an opening-round 74 by shooting a blistering 4-under 66 on Saturday to get within three strokes of the lead.
LIV golfer Jon Rahm enters Sunday looking to capture the third leg of his career Grand Slam and make history for Spain. He is paired in the penultimate group with Nick Taylor. Rising star Ludvig Åberg lurks just two back after leading the field in tee-to-green metrics on Saturday.
Defending champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler suffered a cold putting spurt on Saturday but remains five shots back at 1-under par. Despite the deficit, Scheffler noted that the incredibly bunched leaderboard leaves the Wanamaker Trophy completely up for grabs.
