Note: The 36-hole cut came upon 53 professionals at (5-over) - (149) from a field of 72 professionals. The 36-hole cut was applied to low 50 players (and ties) and any additional players within 10 strokes of the 36-hole lead. The last time the cut was 5-over or higher in a non-major event came a year ago at the 2025 Memorial Tournament presented by Workday (+5).
DUBLIN, Ohio - J.T. Poston (1st/-9) carded a 7-under (65), the low round of the day and his lowest 18-hole score in 26 rounds at Muirfield Village. His previous:best was a (68) in R2/2022.
Poston equalled his low round of the season (R3/American Express) with the next best round of the day: (69) by Ryan Gerard, Sam Burns, Eric Cole, Jacob Bridgeman, Matt McCarty.
Poston holds 36-hole lead/co-lead for the fifth time on TOUR and he’s 2-for-4 to date in converting to victory (2022 John Deere Classic, 2024 Shriners Children’s Open)
He ranks No. 1 in Strokes Gained: Approach The Green (7.902) after hitting 27 of 36 greens in regulation and also ranks No. 1 in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green (8.880) and No. 1 in Proximity (25 feet, 2 inches).
Poston has only two bogeys through 36 holes marks the fewest by any player in the field.
