Scottie Scheffler, who is making his fourth start at The American Express, held a share of the lead after the second and third rounds in 2020 before finishing third. In his last three outings, Scheffler has three consecutive Top-10s on Tour (T-3/World Wide Technology Championship, T-9/Cadence Bank Houston Open, T-7/Sentry Tournament of Champions).

TL’s Wedge for an Edge:  Misfired with Taylor Montgomery last week. This week, chalk suggestions with Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler and Patrick Cantlay, then I refuse to give up on Cam Davis and For the Tour One and Done? Tony Finau.

On This Day in Golf History

January 18, 1998 - Fred Couples won his 13th beating Bruce Lietzke in a playoff at the Bob Hope Desert Classic. Couple birdied No. 18 to tie Lietzke and force the OT with both players at 28-under. Couple birdied it again 20-minutes later for the title.
