@PGATourBrunch Coverage of Second Round of Genesis Scottish Open
NORTH BERWICK - Cameron Tringale opened with a 9-under (61), the lowest score of his PGA Tour career (1,058th round on Tour). Tringale holds his fourth first-round lead/co-lead on the Tour but is 0-for-3 in converting to a tournament win to date.
With a (64), 2019 U.S. Open champion Gary Woodland equalled his best opening-round score on Tour (fifth instance in 313 starts).
World No. 1 and FedExCup leader Scottie Scheffler opened with a 3-over (73) while 2021 Genesis Scottish Open champion Min Woo Lee posted a 7-over (77).
Jordan Spieth carded an opening-round (68) with five consecutive birdies on Nos. 13-17, one shy of a career-best six birdies in a row in round one of the 2020 RBC Heritage.
The top three players not otherwise exempt who finish in the Top 10 this week gain entry into The Open Championship next weekend, as part of the Strategic Alliance between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, the Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the two tours for the first time this year.

July 8, 2010 - Paul Goydos became the fourth player to shoot (59) on the PGA Tour when he fired the magic score in the first round of the John Deere Classic. Since 2010, it’s happened six times.
