PGA Tour Brunch Coverage of Moving Day at 2026 Rocket Classic
DETROIT - Cameron Young (T1/-10) tied the tournament course record with a second-round 9-under (61) (Jake Knapp/R2/2025, and matching Peter Malnati/R1/2026). Young’s (61) marks the second-lowest 18-hole score of his PGA TOUR career (404 rounds), two strokes behind his career-low 59 at the 2024 Travelers Championship (R3/finished T9).
Young holds his fourth 36-hole lead/co-lead on TOUR and second this season; 2-for-3 to date in converting to victory:

2025 Wyndham Championship/Won
2026 Cadillac Championship/Won
Young owns three made cuts and two Top-10 finishes at the Rocket Classic (T2/2022, T6/2024, T46/2025).
Matt Kuchar (T48/-4) recorded a hole-in-one on the par-3 No. 5, his seventh ace on TOUR, tying the most aces on TOUR since 2005 (others with 7: Robert Allenby, Scott Brown).

August 1, 2010 - Stuart Appleby became the fifth player to shoot a 59 on the PGA Tour, making birdie on his final three holes in the final round of the Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia to claim a one-shot victory.
