HILTON HEAD - Matt Fitzpatrick defeated World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler in a playoff and won his fourth PGA TOUR title in his 185th start at 31 years, 7 months, 18 days. Fitzpatrick is now 2-0 in playoffs with both extra innings wins coming at RBC Heritage (def. Jordan Spieth with a birdie on the third playoff hole in 2023).
Fitzpatrick’s PGA TOUR wins (4): 2022 U.S. Open, 2023 RBC Heritage, 2026 Valspar Championship, 2026 RBC Heritage. He joined Chris Gotterup (Sony Open in Hawaii, WM Phoenix Open) as the only players with multiple wins this season.
