CALEDON (Ontario) - Cameron Champ is bogey-free through 36 holes for the first time in his 159th start on TOUR and is the only player bogey-free through 36 holes at RBC Canadian Open. His (128) marks his lowest 36-hole total on TOUR (previous 130/2023 Shriners Children’s Open).
Champ tied career low round score in first round (62/R2/2018 World Wide Technology Championship) and holds the third 36-hole lead/co-lead on TOUR and he’s 1-for-2 converting to victory (T18/2023 Shriners Children’s Open, Won/2018 Sanderson Farms Championship).
Champ is a three-time TOUR winner, looking to secure his first victory since 2021’s 3M Open.
Andrew Putnam (2nd/-10) carded the low round of the day (62) and ties his career low round (five times: R4/2023 World Wide Technology Championship, R3/2023 Sony Open in Hawaii, R2/2022 ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP, R1/2019 Sony Open in Hawaii.)
RBC 18-hole co-leader Thorbjørn Olesen (T3/-9) carded even par 70 and looks to become first player from Denmark to win on the PGA TOUR.
