CALEDON (Ontario) - Playing this weekend at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open are 16 of the Top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, headlined by World No. 2 Rory McIlroy and No. 8 Ludvig Åberg.
Four past RBC Canadian Open champions: Robert MacIntyre (2024), Rory McIlroy (2019, 2022), Brandt Snedeker (2013), Nick Taylor (2023) are in the field.
Also, three past FedEx Cup champions are in this week’s field: Rory McIlroy (2016, 2019, 2022), Justin Rose (2018), Brandt Snedeker (2012).
Six PGA TOUR winners this season will tee it up today, including Nick Taylor (Sony Open in Hawaii), Rory McIlroy (AT&T Pebble Beach ProAm, The PLAYERS Championship, Masters Tournament), Thomas Detry (WM Phoenix Open), Ludvig Åberg (The Genesis Invitational), Karl Vilips (Puerto Rico Open), and Ryan Fox (ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic).
The leading three players, not otherwise exempt, who make the cut at the RBC Canadian Open will qualify for The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush.
