PONTE VEDRA BEACH - Scottie Scheffler steps up today as the two-time defending champion who is seeking to join Jack Nicklaus (1974, 1976, 1978) as the only three-time winners of THE PLAYERS. Scheffler could be the first with three victories at TPC Sawgrass as the tournament was located to the current venue in 1982.
