SCOTTSDALE - Scottie Scheffler defeated Nick Taylor by two strokes to win the 2023 WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. Scheffler is the seventh player (eight occasions) to successfully defend his title at the event and first since Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama in 2017.
Scheffler joined Max Homa and Rory McIlroy as players to successfully defend a title this season.
In search of his third win of the season, Jon Rahm finished solo-third and maintained lead in the FedEx Cup standings.
