Kurt Kitayama holds second career 36-hole lead/co-lead and fourth lead after any round. He is one of two players with multiple 36-hole leads/co-leads on Tour this season with the first coming at THE CJ CUP in South Carolina this past Fall.

Four of the five players at T-2 or better have not won on Tour (Kitayama, Brandon Wu, Joseph Bramlett and Hank Lebioda)

Rounds of the day at each course: Pebble Beach Golf Links (five players/69), Spyglass Hill Golf Course (Satoshi Kodaira and Robby Shelton (68), Monterey Peninsula Country Club (Seamus Power (64).

Cameron Percy withdrew prior to the start of the second round and Andrew Landry withdrew during the second round due to a right shoulder injury.

Second-round scoring averages: Pebble Beach (75.500), Spyglass (73.038), Monterey Peninsula (69.745).

Ben Silverman and Aaron Rodgers lead the pro-am portion of the competition by five strokes at 21-under.

During the second round, there was a medical emergency at No. 11 at Pebble Beach involving an amateur's caddie. The caddie was attended to by emergency medical staff on-site and rushed to Montage Health for evaluation.

At the direction of the PGA TOUR Rules Committee, the players in that group - Max McGreevy and Beau Hossler - paused play during the medical emergency and will be allowed to warm up and resume their round. They allowed all groups to play through, then finished their round.

How to Watch R-3 at Pebble Beach (Golf Week/USA Today)

On This Day in Golf History

February 4, 2005 - Phil Mickelson (remember him?) shot a (60) in the second round of the FBR Open at the TPC Scottsdale. It was the lowest round of his PGA Tour career. Eight years later, he was close to shooting a (59) on the same course but but his final hole birdie putt rimmed out.
