PEBBLE BEACH - The field for the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is absolutely stacked. And, oh yeah, the best player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, is returning to play on tour this week, too.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the fifth event of the 2025 PGA TOUR season and second Signature Event. It’s worth noting, AT&T is the longest running continuous title sponsor on the PGA TOUR (since 1986) and is celebrating its 40th year as title sponsor of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
The no-cut AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will feature amateurs playing alongside professionals during the first two rounds at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill. All 80 professionals will then play on the weekend at Pebble Beach only.
The field features:
Forty-five of the Top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, highlighted by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, No. 3 Rory McIlroy, No. 4 Collin Morikawa and No. 5 Hideki Matsuyama.
Five past champions: Wyndham Clark (2024), Justin Rose (2023), Tom Hoge (2022), Nick Taylor (2020), Jordan Spieth (2017)
A whopping 62 PGA TOUR winners, led by Rory McIlroy (26), Justin Thomas (15), Adam Scott (14), Jason Day (13), Scottie Scheffler (13), Jordan Spieth (13), Hideki Matsuyama (11), Justin Rose (11)
Eight past FedExCup champions (10 wins): Billy Horschel/2014, Jordan Spieth/2015, Rory McIlroy/2016/2019/2022, Justin Thomas/2017, Justin Rose/2018, Patrick Cantlay/2021, Viktor Hovland/2023, Scottie Scheffler/2024.
Every FedEx Cup champion, dating to 2014, is in the field with the exception of LIV Golf’s Dustin Johnson/2020.
Remember 2024? - Due to dangerous weather conditions, the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was reduced to 54 holes, with third round leader Wyndham Clark earning his third PGA TOUR victory by one stroke over Ludvig Ă…berg. The event concluded as the first 54-hole tournament on TOUR since the 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Looking back, the 2009 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was shortened to 54 holes as well.

TL’s Wedge for an Edge: This week, more chalk suggestions with Jason Day, Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Åberg and a slight wild card with Taylor Pendrith. That said, you can put Spieth on reserve/bench and play Sam Burns and Patrick Cantlay with the obvious chance to switch.
For the Tour One and Done? Taking Taylor Pendrith

On This Day in Golf History
January 29, 2012 - Brandt Snedeker begins to conduct his post final round press conference, figuring a second place finish at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines when Kyle Stanley triple-bogeys for (8) on the final hole and the two players wind up in a playoff. Snedeker wins the tournament on the second hole of the playoff after trailing by nine holes earlier in the day. Stanley was seeking his first PGA Tour victory.
