Sports Biz and The Golf Industry

The National Golf Foundation reported that the number of “rounds played” increase in 2020 could be more than 50 million. That figure comes after losing about 20 million rounds in March/April as the Coronavirus lockdown was in full force. … The only year with a more significant increase came in 1997 when Tiger Woods burst onto the golf scene.

The USGA is preparing for the 75th US Women’s U.S. Open at The Champions Golf Club in Houston. Because of the limited daylight hours in December, the tournament will be played on two courses, the 6,731-yard Cypress Creek and neighboring 6,558-yard Jack Rabbit. (Golf World)
