SILVIS - Lucas Glover (T1/-8) carded a bogey-free 8-under (63), two shy of his career low-round score: 61, twice (2019 Shriners Children’s Open/R3/finished T7, 2016 Wyndham Championship/R2/finished T22).
The (63) marks his second-best score in 53 career rounds at TPC Deere Run (best: 62, 2013/R2).
Zac Blair (T1/-8) opened with an 8-under (63), as well, setting his low 18-hole score this season (previous best: 65, THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson/R2). He carded an eagle on No. 2 along with six birdies en route to bogey-free round.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa native Zach Johnson (T3/-7) closed the round eagle-birdie on Nos. 17-18 for a 64, one shy of his best score in 87 rounds at TPC Deere Run (63/2014/R1). The 2012 John Deere Classic winner is making his 24th tournament appearance
Playing his 1,787th par-3 on the PGA TOUR, Davis Riley (T6/-6) aces the par-3 16th hole with a 9-iron from 150 yards for his first career hole-in-one in 147 TOUR starts and wins a John Deere GX Crew Electric Gator. That marked the 36th ace at the John Deere Classic and first since Kevin Streelman in 2022 (No. 12/R4).
