Jon Rahm accepted Genesis Invitational Trophy from Tourney Host Tiger Woods

PACIFIC PALISADES - For three holes yesterday, the greatest golfer in the world, Jon Rahm, was human. Rahm carded three “5s” in a row going out on the back nine and went from being (-2) to even. Two of the three consecutive “5s” were bogeys and, at times, he looked like the weekend hacker we all are. But, then Rahm - under extreme pressure from Max Homa - returned to form as he had done throughout the 2023 Genesis Invitational. Rahm finished (-17) to Homa’s (-15).

Yes, Spain’s Jon Rahm won The Genesis Invitational, earning his 10th PGA Tour title and third of the new season. In doing so, he returned to No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking and extended his lead in the FedEx Cup standings to 426 points.

Rahm recorded the most wins on Tour in California since the start of the West Coast segment of the Tour in 2016-17 season with five W’s.

The 2021 Genesis Invitational winner Max Homa earns first runner-up finish on Tour and fourth consecutive top-10 at the event.

In his return to active pro golf, 82-time PGA Tour winner Tiger Woods finished T-45 in his first Tour start since the 2022 Open Championship. Woods hosted the Genesis and presented Rahm with his winner’s check ($3.6m) and trophy.
