PGA Tour Brunch | Genesis Scottish Open
@PGATourBrunch Previews the 2022 Genesis Scottish Open
NORTH BERWICK - This week, the Genesis Scottish Open can claim the fact it is the strongest field in DPWorldTour history.
“If you throw out the Majors, I would have to think that this is going to be one of the two, three, four best fields that we play the entire year,” said Justin Thomas.
Padraig Harrington, who’s twice hoisted the Claret Jug, was brought on as a player consultant shortly before last year’s Genesis Scottish Open.

Note: This is the first of two PGA Tour Brunch tournament preview e-newsletters for today, July 6, 2022. Following this, an news for The Barbasol will be sent, but for the rest of the week, only one e-newsletter will be posted. PGA Tour Brunch will focus on the Scottish Open but will post leaders and a link or two to the Barbasol tournament coverage.

TL’s Wedge for an Edge: This week, the picks will be for the Scottish Open and we’ll leave the Barbasol to the real experts! For the Scotland side, there will be a decidedly European flavor: Justin Rose, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland and American out of Wake Forest Will Zalatoris. Reserves: Course design consultant Pradraig Harrington and Scotland’s very own Robert MacIntyre. For the Tour One and Done game? Zalatoris.
