LOS ANGELES - Marco Penge (T1/-12) set his career low round on TOUR with a second-round (64). His previous best: 65/R1/2025 Genesis Scottish Open). Penge holds first career 36-hole lead/co-lead after any round on TOUR in 26th round (previous best 36-hole position: T3/2025 Genesis Scottish Open/finished T2).
His (130) marks his career low 36-hole score on TOUR with the previous best: 132, 2025 Genesis Scottish Open.

Jacob Bridgeman (T1/-12) carded a 7-under (64) in second round, one shy of tying his career low 18-hole score (63/2024 3M Open/R1). He holds his second 36-hole lead/co-lead on TOUR (2025 Valspar Championship), but is 0-for-1 to date in converting half-way lead to a win.
Bridgeman’s (130) matched his career low 36-hole score in stroke-play events on TOUR (2026 American Express/finished T13). He currently leads the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (7.498).
World No. 1 and 20-time PGA TOUR winner Scottie Scheffler (T42/E) carded a 3-under (68) in the second round to make the cut on the number and extend his streak to 68 consecutive cuts made, the longest active streak on TOUR. Scheffler shot (74) to open the tournament on Thursday.
Russell Henley, Justin Rose, Chris Gotterup and Jason Day were among the notables missing the cut. (E).

February 21, 1994 - Tom Watson sank a 30-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a sudden death playoff against Johnny Miller to win his 29th PGA Tour title at the Glen Campbell Los Angeles Open at Riviera CC. Watson, winless in eight months prior, benefitted from Miller making bogey on 17 and 18 to allow for the playoff.
