Final Round Preview of The American Express at PGA West
By TERRY LYONS
LA QUINTA - Past champion from the 2018 American Express - Jon Rahm - will play the final round in an attempt to become the event’s 10th multiple winner and the first multiple winner on Tour this season. (He won the opening week of January at the Sentry).
PGA Tour rookie Davis Thompson searches for his first Tour title after holding the 18, 36 and 54-hole leads/co-leads.
South Africa’s Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Korea’s Tom Kim are trying to join Rahm (2018) as international players who have won this event. Five international players have won The American Express since the turn of the century.

The cut came at 10-under, tying the lowest 54-hole cut (2013) since The American Express became a 72-hole event in 2012.
