Scheffler Takes '26 FedEx St. Jude Championship | Memphis
MEMPHIS - Scottie Scheffler (1st/-17), World No. 1, earned his 21st PGA TOUR title in his 168th start at the age of 30 years, 1 month, 26 days. His eight-stroke margin of victory is the largest by any player on TOUR since Scheffler won the 2025 CJ CUP Byron Nelson by eight.
Scheffler became the fifth player in the last 40 years to record multiple wins of 8+ strokes on TOUR, joining Tiger Woods (10), Ernie Els (2), Dustin Johnson (2) and Rory McIlroy (2).
Scheffler’s statistics this week:
Led the field in Strokes Gained: Putting with a career-best +8.92
Just the second event in his TOUR career as the leader in SG: Putting (2021 U.S. Open, +8.66)
Ranked second in SG: Approach the Green (6.643) and third in SG: Tee to Green (7.444)
Led all players with 23 total birdies (next best: 21, Tom Kim)
Six bogeys this week, tied for the second fewest bogeys-or-worse (best: 5, Maverick McNealy)
His win comes in his seventh appearance in the FedEx St. Jude Championship (previous best: T3 in 2025)
Since the start of the 2024 season, he leads all players with 15 PGA TOUR titles (next best: 6, Rory McIlroy)
Tournament Notes:
Sungjae Im is the only player to move inside the Top 50 of the FedExCup standings after entering the week outside the bubble. It cost Keith Mitchell a trip to the BMW. Mitchell went from 49th to 51st place.
Si Woo Kim (2nd/-9) finished runner-up for the third time this season (others: Farmers Insurance Open, CJ CUP Byron Nelson). He earned his 11th Top-10 finish on TOUR this year, second most by any player only behind Scheffler’s 12 and climbed to No. 4 in the FedEx Cup standings. Yet, Si Woo Kim is the only player inside the top five without a win this season
Alex Noren (T3/-8) led the field this week in SG: Approach the Green (6.995) to notch his best finish of the season and moved from 46th to 34th in the FedEx Cup standings.
FedExCup Playoffs:
The Top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings will now advance to this week’s BMW Championship (Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri). Those 50 players have qualified for all 2027 PGA Tour Signature Events.
