Sam Burns (T2/-11) carded a bogey-free (62), his best 18-hole score in 25 career rounds at TPC Southwind (previous: 63/R2/2024); five-time PGA TOUR winner seeks first victory since the 2023 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play
This marks Burns’ fourth time this season entering the final round inside the top three of the leaderboard: Masters Tournament (3rd after 54 holes, finished T7), Memorial Tournament presented by Workday (3rd after 54 holes,
finished T4), The Open Championship (54-hole solo leader, finished 3rd).
FedExCup Playoffs:
Following this week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship, the Top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings will advance to next week’s BMW Championship (Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri). Those 50 players also qualify for all 2027 PGA Tour Signature Events.
