SAN DIEGO - More BIG NEWS on the LIV Golf player exodus, as Patrick Reed chose to forgo an extension with LIV Golf and will play the DP World Tour this season and await a possible return to the PGA Tour at the tail end of this season or in 2027.
“After careful thought and consideration, my family and I have decided that I will no longer compete on the LIV Golf Tour,” said Reed in a statement posted to social media. “I am excited to announce that I am returning to the PGA TOUR as a past champion member for the 2027 season and am eligible to begin competing in PGA TOUR.”
Reed eventually might join Brooks Koepka as the lone LIV returnees. All eyes will be on Koepka this weekend, and in fact, ESPN will air coverage on the mothership rather than just ESPN+ to catch Koepka’s return.
