TORREY PINES - Will Zalatoris holds the 54-hole lead/co-lead for first time in his Tour career. His only other lead after any round was R2/2021 Sanderson Farms Championship/T-14. To gain lead, Zalatoris posted his third lowest score in 23 rounds this season (61/R2/Sanderson Farms Championship, 61/R2/The American Express. He is seeking his first PGA Tour title in his 40th start of his professional career on the Tour.
Australia’s Jason Day is attempting to score his 13th PGA Tour title and third at Famers Insurance Open.
England’s Aaron Rai sits T-3, his best position after any of his 55 rounds on Tour.
Jon Rahm sits one back and is trying to become first World No. 1 to win on the Tour since Dustin Johnson at the 2020 Masters Tournament.
Each of the last three Farmers Insurance Open champs opened on the North Course. Among leaders, only Rai and Sungjae Im (T-5) began the tournament on the North Course

January 29, 2012- Brandt Snedeker started to conduct his post round media interviews, discussing 2nd place finish at Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines as Kyle Stanley made triple-bogey “8” on final hole.
