Final Round Coverage of the 2026 Charlie Schwab Challenge
FT. WORTH - The 54-hole leader/co-leader has won the last two years at the Charles Schwab Challenge (Davis Riley/2024, Ben Griffin/2025), snapping a streak of four straight come-from-behind winners (Daniel Berger/2020, Jason Kokrak/2021, Sam Burns/2022, Emiliano Grillo/2023).
The 54-hole leader(s)/co-leader(s) have gone on to win eight of 21 TOUR events this season .
Eric Cole (1st/-12) followed a second round (68) with a third-round 7-under (63), and holds a one-stroke lead over Ryan Gerard. Cole now has 19 straight par-or-better rounds on the PGA TOUR (stroke-play events only), with 15 of those occurring in Texas.
Saturday’s (63) marks his 13th straight under-par round in individual stroke-play events as his previous-best 54-hole position heading into the final round is solo-second or T-2.

2025 Sony Open in Hawaii (T2) – final-round 2-under 68, finished 5th
The 2025 Barracuda Championship winner, Ryan Gerard (2nd/-11), is one of five players with two or more runner-up finishes on TOUR this season (Sony Open in Hawaii, The American Express), joining Scottie Scheffler (3), Nicolai Højgaard (2), Alex Smalley (2) and Si Woo Kim (2).
Gerard leads the field in Strokes Gained: Putting (7.639) and Proximity to the hole (24’1”)
Currently projected No. 3 in the Aon Swing 5 with the top-five earning a spot in next week’s Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, Dallas, Texas native Mac Meissner (T3/-10) trails by two in bid for his second Top-10 finish in his third start at the Charles Schwab Challenge (T5/2024, T28/2025).

May 31, 1942 - Sam Snead won his first major Tour title at the PGA Championship at Seaview Country Club in Galloway, NJ. Snead won the Match Play final, 2-and-1, over Jim Turnesa.
