AT&T Byron Nelson | Tournament Preview
MCKINNEY, TEXAS - The AT&T Byron Nelson is one of the premier events on the PGA Tour since 1968. The TPC Craig Ranch, just north of Dallas/Fort Worth, hosts the biggest golf attraction of the year and the most anticipated social event of the spring because of its yearly financial charity commitment to the community.
Three of the world’s Top 10 professional golfers and six of the Top 20 are scheduled to play with Brooks Koepka having to withdraw this week. Dallas resident Scottie Scheffler claimed his first Green Jacket at The Masters, then kept winning and winning to rocket to the top spot in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Fellow Texans Jordan Spieth, Will Zalatoris and Ryan Palmer are set to return to TPC Craig Ranch, as well.

TL’s Wedge for an Edge: Aside from the hottest of the hot in Scottie Scheffler, who do you take? Choices are plentiful this week, as both Scheffler and Jordan Spieth return to the course where they won their first PGA Tour events. Keith Mitchell is due as is Davis Riley. For my PGA Tour One and Done at the Byron Nelson, the pick is Mitchell.

On This Day in Golf History:
May 11, 1928 - Walter Hagen won a rare May staging of The Open Championship, beating Gene Saracen by two strokes at Royal St. Georges. The win was the third of four Open Championship titles for Hagen who benefitted when defending champion Bobby Jones decided not to make the trip to Britain to defend his title. - Courtesy of Randy Walker, Author of On This Day in Golf History, available via Amazon.com and by clicking HERE
