OWINGS MILLS - Scottie Scheffler was the most amazing golfer of the weekend and Lucas Glover was the unluckiest.
Scheffler won the BMW Championship, coming from behind to defeat Robert MacIntyre of Scotland, and secured the victory in grand fashion with the best shot of the entire 2025 PGA Tour season, an 82-foot chip-in on No. 17, the 71st hole of the tournament.
Scheffler, the world No. 1 and FedEx Cup leader, picked up his 18th PGA TOUR win in his 148th start at the age of 29 years, 1 month, 27 days. He moved to T46 on the all-time PGA Tour wins list, now tied with Julius Boros, Jim Ferrier, Dutch Harrison and Nick Price.
Scheffler will enter the TOUR Championship No. 1 in the FedEx Cup standings for the fourth consecutive year as he attempts to become the first back-to-back FedEx Cup champion.
The BMW was Scheffler’s TOUR-best fifth win of the season (THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, PGA Championship, the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, The Open Championship, BMW Championship) and is his second season with five or more wins (2024/7, 2025/5).
Scheffler became the first player since Tiger Woods (2005-2007) to record five or more wins in back-to-back seasons.
Robert MacIntyre (2nd/-13), a two-time PGA TOUR winner, finished runner-up for the third time in 76 starts (2023 Genesis Scottish Open, 2025 U.S. Open, 2025 BMW Championship). MacIntyre was clipped by J.J. Spaun’s long bomb putt at this year’s U.S. Open.
Notes:
Maverick McNealy (3rd) advanced to the TOUR Championship for the first time in his sixth season on TOUR.
Tommy Fleetwood (T4) earns his sixth top-five finish of the season, second only to Scottie Scheffler’s 10. Fleetwood recorded his 44th Top-10 finish in his 163rd start, the most of any player without a win on TOUR since 1983.
Five-time PGA TOUR winner and 2024 BMW Championship runner-up Sam Burns finished T4.

Three-time FedExCup champion Rory McIlroy (T12)
