By TERRY LYONS, Editor of Digital Sports Desk
PEBBLE BEACH - The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the fifth event of the 2026 PGA TOUR Season and first PGA Tour Signature Event. The limited-field tournament features an 80-player field with no cut. There’s a hefty $20 million purse and 700 FedEx Cup points on the line for the winner.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am celebrates its 80th in 2026, with Pebble Beach Golf Links serving as its host venue since 1947. The event is played over two courses (Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course), with amateurs competing alongside professionals the first two rounds, with competition limited to professionals only over the final two rounds at Pebble Beach.
Rory McIlroy, the reigning 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am champion and three-time FedEx Cup Champion (2016, 2019, 2022) is scheduled to makes his season debut. McIlroy claimed his first of three victories of the 2025 season at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, later adding titles at THE PLAYERS Championship and Masters Tournament.
Remember 2024? - Due to dangerous weather conditions, the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was reduced to 54 holes, with third round leader Wyndham Clark earning his third PGA TOUR victory by one stroke over Ludvig Åberg. The event concluded as the first 54-hole tournament on TOUR since the 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Looking back, the 2009 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was shortened to 54 holes as well.

On This Day in Golf History
February 11, 1973 - A 43-year old Arnold Palmer won his 62nd and final PGA Tour title at the Bob Hope Desert Classic, beating out runners-up Jack Nicklaus and Johnny Miller by two strokes. Palmer calls the victory “his sweetest ever” and told the assembled media, “I hope it’s not as long before my next win” which unfortunately never happened.
