PGA Tour Brunch | AT&T Pebble Beach Finale
Preview of "Overtime" at Weather Delayed AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
By TERRY LYONS
PEBBLE BEACH - The third round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am resumed at 8:00am (local)/11am (ET) Sunday. Play was suspended at Pebble Beach Golf Links due to wet course conditions at 8:36am (local) and resumed at 8:49am (local), a delay of only 13 minutes. The third round was completed at 11:37am (local)/2:37pm (ET).
Final-round tee times were from 12:20pm (local) to 2:32pm (local) in threesomes off Nos. 1 and 10. Play was suspended for the day due to darkness at 5:33pm (local)/8:00pm (ET), with 55 players left to complete the round. Play is scheduled to resume at 8:00am (local)/11:00am (ET) today.
Third-round leader Justin Rose, who is 5-for-15 to date in his career with the 54-hole lead/co-lead in 72-hole individual stroke play events, is in search of his first title since the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open.
At the 2019 U.S. Open, the last men’s major championship held at Pebble Beach, Rose entered the final round alone in second place (one stroke behind eventual champion Gary Woodland) and went on to finish T-3.
Denny McCarthy, sitting in second place, has a 14-foot, 2-inch putt for birdie at No. 16 when play resumes today. McCarthy posted a front-nine (29), the seventh time he has carded a (29) or better on Tour, the most of any player in the last five PGA Tour seasons. His nine birdies through 15 holes is one shy of his career-best of 10 through No. 15.
Taylor Pendrith, the leader in the clubhouse (-12), made a 46-foot, 8-inch birdie putt on No. 8, the third-longest made putt of his PGA TOUR career. Pendrith’s second-longest came just two weeks ago at The American Express.
