Second Round Coverage of the 2026 3M Open | TPC Twin Cities

BLAINE, (Minn) - Ben Kohles (1st/-9) holed an eagle putt from 4 feet, 4 inches on the final hole to card a bogey-free 9-under (62) and took the lead by two strokes over three players T2. Kohles hit 17 of 18 greens, 12 of 14 fairways and took 28 putts en route to his career low on TOUR in 354 rounds. His previous low: 63/twice (most recent: 2024 Puerto Rico Open/R3).
Kohles holds an 18-hole lead/co-lead for the first time in an individual stroke-play event on TOUR (previous best position after 18 holes: T4/2026 Puerto Rico Open/finished T42); NOTE: Held 18-hole lead/co-lead at 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with teammate Patton Kizzire (finished T28).
Kohles is a five-time Korn Ferry Tour winner who seeks his first PGA TOUR title in his 122nd start.

Emiliano Grillo (T2/-7) tied his record for most birdies in a round (9) for the seventh time in his career (most recent: 2023 American Express/R3/Pete Dye Stadium Course) as he made his seventh appearance at the 3M Open, with five made cuts in six prior appearances, including three top-10 finishes (T3/2020, T2/2022, T10/2023).
In only his third start as a professional, PGA TOUR rookie Jackson Koivun (T2/-7), who earned membership via the PGAT University Accelerated program, matched his career low score on TOUR (64/2026 John Deere Classic/R2).
In 15 rounds at the 3M Open, Gary Woodland (T2/-7) carded his low 18-hole score at TPC Twin Cities (previous: 66/three times)
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (T5/-6) carded a bogey-free (65) in his first ever round at TPC Twin Cities while making his first appearance at the 3M Open. The last World No. 1 to compete in the 3M Open: Brooks Koepka (2019/finished 65th). Scheffler, the FedExCup leader, seeks his second victory of the season (The American Express).
Lucas Glover (T5/-6) seeks third consecutive Top-5 finish on TOUR (T3/John Deere Classic, T5/ISCO Championship).

January won an 18-hole playoff against DonMassengale, shooting a (68) to Massengale’s (71).
