NORTH BERWICK (Scotland) - Five players tied for the 18-hole lead at the 2026 Scottish Open. It marks the second consecutive year with four or more leaders of the tourney after the first round. (2025: Nico Echavarria, Jake Knapp, Sepp Straka, Victor Perez).
It also marks the most 18-hole co-leaders on TOUR this season since the PGA Championship (7).

July 10, 1953 - In his only Open Championship appearance, Ben Hogan won his third major championship of the year when he took the Open title at Carnoustie Golf Links, winning by four strokes over Peter Thomsen of Australia, Dai Rees of Wales, Antonio Cerda of Argentina and American amateur Frank Stranahan.
