2026 Scottish Open Preview + ISCO Championship
NORTH BERWICK (Scotland) - The Genesis Scottish Open is the 28th event of the FedEx Cup regular season, with only five weeks remaining until the start of the FedEx Cup Playoffs
This season marks the fifth consecutive year that the Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour as part of the Strategic Alliance between both Tours, while the Renaissance Club hosts the Genesis Scottish Open for the eighth consecutive year.
The field includes:
Six of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking
Four past champions among the current top 20 in the Official World Golf Ranking (No. 2 Rory McIlroy/2023, No. 7 Chris Gotterup/2025, No. 14 Xander Schauffele/2022, No. 20 Robert MacIntyre/2024)
48 of the top 70 in the FedExCup standings
35 of the 156 players in the field competed at last week’s John Deere Classic, including winner Chris Gotterup; Doug Ghim (T6) and Mac Meissner (T6) also finished inside the top 10
World Golf Hall of Fame member Padraig Harrington successfully defended his U.S. Senior Open title
The Genesis Scottish Open is the final event of The Open Qualifying Series (OQS) where three spots will be available into next week’s 154th Open at Royal Birkdale Golf Club; the top three players, not otherwise exempt, who make the cut at the Genesis Scottish Open will earn an exemption; in the event of a tie for a qualifying place, the player with the higher position in the Official World Golf Ranking entering the week will earn the spot.
The ISCO Championship debuted on the PGA TOUR in 2015 and had been played at Keene Trace Golf Club in Lexington since 2018. The tournament’s move to Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville in 2025 marked the first time a non-major event on the PGA TOUR had been staged in Louisville since the Kentucky Derby Open was held at Seneca Golf Course in the late 1950s, where Gary Player captured his first career victory on the PGA TOUR in 1958.
The ISCO Championship, being played it Louisville, will have a $4,000,000 purse ($720,000/winner) with 300 FedEx Cup points to the winner.
