BLAINE, (Minn) - Jackson Koivun (1st/-25) earned his first PGA TOUR title in his 13th career start (third as a professional) at the age of 21 years, 2 months, 3 days.

Koivun entered the final round with a three-stroke lead and carded a bogey-free (66) to claim the three-stroke win over World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Koivun is the youngest player to win on TOUR since Aldrich Potgieter (20 years, 9 months, 16 days) at the 2025 Rocket Classic and the youngest American player to win a PGA TOUR event by multiple strokes since the 1932 WM Phoenix Open (Ralph Guldahl).

3M Open | Notes

Scottie Scheffler (2nd/-22) entered the final-round six shots and cards a bogey-free 63 to finish solo-second, his fifth runner-up finish this season; marks his 15th runner-up and 87th top-10 in 167 career starts on TOUR; 2026 FedExCup leader increases his lead in the standings, 794 points ahead of Matt Fitzpatrick; leads all players with 11 top-five finishes this season (next best: 7, Matt Fitzpatrick).
Hideki Matsuyama (T3/-20) followed his first-round 70 with rounds of 65-65-64 to clinch his third top-10 finish of the season (P2/WM Phoenix Open, T3/3M Open, T8/AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am); cards a 6-under 30 on the back nine in the final round, highlighted by a birdie-eagle finish on Nos. 17-18; led the field this week in Strokes Gained: Around the Green with (8.170).

BLAINE, (Minn) - Jackson Koivun (1st/-20) carded a 10-under (61), including a tournament-record back-nine score of (28) (-8), which included four birdies and two eagles (Nos. 12 and 18).

He holds the lead/co-lead for the first time after any round on TOUR. The 21-year-old is the youngest 54-hole leader/co-leader on TOUR this season.

With a victory, he would become the fourth PGA TOUR rookie to win this season: Alex Fitzpatrick (Zurich Classic of New Orleans/with Matt Fitzpatrick), Kristoffer Reitan (Truist Championship), and Stefano Mazzoli (Corales Puntacana Championship).

On TOUR this season, 10 of the 30 individual-stroke play events were won by players who held the 54-hole lead/co-lead. Most recently: Viktor Hovland/Travelers Championship).

BLAINE, (Minn) - Ben Kohles (1st/-9) holed an eagle putt from 4 feet, 4 inches on the final hole to card a bogey-free 9-under (62) and took the lead by two strokes over three players T2. Kohles hit 17 of 18 greens, 12 of 14 fairways and took 28 putts en route to his career low on TOUR in 354 rounds. His previous low: 63/twice (most recent: 2024 Puerto Rico Open/R3).

Kohles holds an 18-hole lead/co-lead for the first time in an individual stroke-play event on TOUR (previous best position after 18 holes: T4/2026 Puerto Rico Open/finished T42); NOTE: Held 18-hole lead/co-lead at 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with teammate Patton Kizzire (finished T28).

Kohles is a five-time Korn Ferry Tour winner who seeks his first PGA TOUR title in his 122nd start.

BLAINE, (Minn) - Defending champion Kurt Kitayama is making his third appearance at 3M Open (T6/2024, Won/2025). He claimed his second PGA TOUR title with victory at 2025 3M Open, highlighted by a career-low 60 in the third round. Last year, he entered the week at No. 110 in the FedEx Cup and became the third consecutive 3M Open winner to begin the week outside the Top 70 in the FedEx Cup (Jhonattan Vegas/No. 147/2024; Lee Hodges/No. 74/2023) and leave in the playoffs.

He is a cumulative 36-under in eight rounds at TPC Twin Cities (66-69-70-66-65-71-60-65). Kitayama is coming off a T40 finish at The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

TPC Twin Cities was designed by World Golf Hall of Fame member Arnold Palmer, who worked in consultation with Minnesota native and PGA TOUR veteran Tom Lehman.

SOUTHPORT - Ryan Fox became the second player from New Zealand to win The Open Championship, joining Bob Charles (1963/Royal Lytham & St Annes). At No. 56 in the Official World Golf Ranking, Fox was the lowest-ranked winner of the event since Darren Clarke in 2011 (No. 111).

Fox was T-85 following an opening-round (72), which had him seven strokes off the lead.

Fox earned his third PGA TOUR title and first major championship in his 94th start on TOUR at the age of 39 years, 5 months, 27 days. It marked his first Top-10 in his 29th major championship start (previous best: T16/2019 Open Championship).

The victory came in his 10th Open Championship appearance; previously had two Top-25s (T16/2019, T25/2024).

Fox earned 750 FedEx Cup points and moved from No. 59 to No. 21 in the FedEx Cup standings. He also moved from No. 56 to No. 22 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

The 2026 Corales Puntacana Championship marks the ninth playing of the PGA TOUR’s first and only tournament in the Dominican Republic. The Corales Puntacana Championship has been co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour since 2022 as part of the Strategic Alliance between both Tours. The winner will receive 300 FedExCup points and a two-year exemption on the PGA TOUR, if not already exempt.

ROYAL BIRKDALE - Lucas Herbert (1st/-8) recorded a second-round 9-under (62) to match “the” all-time major 18-hole scoring record (any major). Glover’s previous career-low score in a major was a (67) (2022 The Open Championship/R4, 2024 PGA Championship/R2).

Glover’s (28) (-6) on the front nine tied the lowest nine-hole score in Open Championship history (Denis Durnian/R2/Royal Birkdale/1983).

ROYAL BIRKDALE - The Open Championship is the 30th event of the FedEx Cup Regular Season, with only four weeks remaining until the start of the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs.

This is the final major championship of the 2026 season (Rory McIlroy/Masters Tournament, Aaron Rai/PGA Championship, Wyndham Clark/U.S. Open).

The 2026 Open Championship returns to Royal Birkdale for the 11th time (1954, 1961, 1965, 1971, 1976, 1983, 1991, 1998, 2008, 2017, 2026), the second-most of any other course to host with the most being St. Andrews.

An American has won four of the last five Open Championships: Scottie Scheffler (2025), Xander Schauffele (2024), Brian Harman (2023), Collin Morikawa (2021).
